H2Ohio Ensures Clean And Safe Water For All Ohioans

H2Ohio is a comprehensive, data-driven approach to improving water quality over the long term. H2Ohio focuses specifically on reducing phosphorus, creating wetlands, addressing failing septic systems and preventing lead contamination.

As a result of intensive scientific and economic studies, H2Ohio has identified the 10 most effective and cost-efficient practices that have been proven to reduce agricultural phosphorus runoff. H2Ohio will provide economic incentives to farmers who develop a nutrient management plan that includes a combination of the best practices listed below. Visit the H2Ohio website to learn more.

H2Ohio is open for new sign ups until January 15. Contact us to learn more about how you can join in reducing agricultural phosphorus runoff! Current producers are able to add more acres to their current contracts until January 15! Have rotations, VNMPs, and field maps ready before adding. Overwintering cover crops should be planted and maintained until March 15! Send your cover crop seed tags and invoices to the Allen SWCD office by March!
