Plant A Tree, Get A Rebate
Under the guidance of the Urban Forestry Council, the City of Lima is offering the opportunity for residents and businesses to plant trees on their property and throughout the city. Trees may also be donated to schools, churches, organizations, businesses within city limits, and within city curb lawn areas. Eligible participants will receive a 50% rebate on the cost of purchasing and planting up to two trees within one calendar year. Planting can be either be done independently or by a professional entity.
Planted tree size must be between 1 and 3 inches in diameter. Chosen trees must be from the approved list. The program runs from March 1 to November 30.
Funding from the Lima Stormwater Department is limited and distributed on a first come/first served basis.
Contact Casey Heilman at the Allen SWCD office to schedule a site visit to decide which trees would best suit your space and functionality requirements.
